ANNOUNCEMENTS
1 . EXPLORING ENTERPRISE PROGRAMME: This programme which is FREE aims to help people into employment or self-employment through mentoring support and training and by gaining a recognised qualification. This 8 week programme begins week commencing 21st September and runs each Tuesday morning in Ledcom, each Wednesday morning in Craigyhill Hall, St.Anthonys and every Thursday in The Cliff, Seacourt from 9.30am to 1.30pm. 2. NOTICE TO PRESBYTERIAN MUTUAL SOCIETY SAVERS: a letter from the Very Rev Dr Stafford Carson (former Moderator) is available in the vestibule or from the church office. Accompanying this are some useful contacts.
3. SANDES (Soldiers and Airmen’s Centres): We have received an acknowledgement thanking us for the recent donation for £420 made to this Mission working with our armed forces. Letter on display in Link noticeboard.
4. BELFAST MARATHON 2011: (9 mile or 26 mile walk). Interested is taking part? Please speak to Jan or Brian McKay.
5. COMMUNICANTS GROUPS: we have definite plans for at least 2 groups—1 for general members and another for those who have more recently come through Bible Class. Watch this space for arrangements!
6. BELFAST BIBLE COLLEGE: New learning programme. Registration and Information Evening - Tuesday 7th September from 5.30pm to 9.30pm. Leaflets, giving full details of all courses, on vestibule table.
7. “THE LORD’s PRAYER”: six talks by Rev. Desi Maxwell in Millbrook Community Centre on Tuesday nights from 24th August to 28th September at 7.30pm. Phrase by phrase we reflect on this prayer that Jesus taught his followers. See poster on Link Noticeboard for outline of Programme.
8. CHILDREN’S CHURCH: any new leaders who would be interested in helping with Children’s Church, from September, please speak to Jane McClure.
9. KIRK SESSION: next meeting Thursday 9th September. Training for new and existing elders: Monday 13th September at 7.30pm, Saturday 18th September at 8.30am and Monday 20th September at 7.30pm.
10. SESSION & COMMITTEE MEMBERS: Harvest literature will be available for distribution to homes from Monday 13th September. This will be made available for collection at the Elders Training Session on Monday 13th or you can collect from the office that week. Those not collected will be left in the vestibule on Sunday 19th September.
