REMEMBRANCE SERVICE 11.30am

You are welcome to join us for our Service of Remembrance at 11.30am (note change of time). This service is immediately after the town's Act of Remembrance at the War Memorial.

Our service will be conducted by the minister, the Rev. Dr. Colin D. McClure. This year's theme is "Greater Love..."

In the short act of remembrance the Clerk of Session cites the names of those members of First Larne killed during the World Wars and in the "Troubles". Then, in a symbolic act of intergenerational commitment to remember, a young person passes poppy wreaths to the wreath-laying party. Three separate wreath-tributes are placed at the First World War Memorial, the Second World War Memorial and at the individual memorial honouring the memory of Constable Edward Spence, murdered by terrorists whilst serving as an RUC police officer.
